» Program Activities
- Health – HIV/AIDS prevention, information dissemination on “ABSTINENCE” among the youths, “BE FAITHFUL” strategy to married couples and the promotion of the “CONDOM USE” and the “CIRCUMCISION” to the general members of the community who are prone to fail the above AB strategies.
- Under HIV/AIDS, BUSODA is also involved in the Mitigation of other effects of HIV/AIDS like; OVC care and support activities, Capacity building of OVC and their care givers in areas like; Food security, social Economic Security, Psychological support, Child protection & advocacy, Education promotion, Succession planning and Health promotion.
- BUSODA is also involved in Advocacy for “Enhancing Quality services delivery in both Health and Education” in Masaka district.
- Under Orphans also, BUSODA is supporting over 300 orphans in Formal Education with school dues, School supplies and provision of Lunch.

Orphans – BUSODA is also having a Vocational Training Center aimed at training the orphans and other vulnerable children areas such as; Carpentry, Building, Tailoring, Mechanics, Welding, Cookery, Hair dressing and Sustainable Agriculture. All these skills are aimed at empowering the OVC to become self sustaining.
- Youth Program: BUSODA is running two youth projects one as a multi Sectoral approach to development like: having youths involved in production of food for home use and surplus for sale to raise household incomes, involved in promotion of Environmental hygiene and the ABSTINENCE strategy against HIV transmission for their health promotion. BUSODA is also engaging youths in community sensitization activities through Drama shows.
- Grandmothers project: BUSODA is running a program of empowering the HIV/AIDS affected and other grandmothers and their orphaned grand children in the community to realize their problems, assess them, priorities them and source for sustainable solutions for them. BUSODA also provides these grandmothers with home care and psychological support.
- BUSODA has trained and facilitates 50 Religious leaders for continued psychological support to OVC and their households.
- Community Development; BUSODA is currently involving communities of Kiseka, Lwengo, Kabonera, Buwunga, Kimaanya – Kyabakuza, Kyazanga sub-counties of Masaka district and Kirumba sub-county of Rakai District in different fields of community development such as; Sustainable agriculture aimed at improving food production for both income generation and food security, Water and Sanitation aimed at providing safe clean water to the rural community, Sensitization of community about environmental hygiene aimed at eradication of preventable diseases and promoting understanding of democracy and good governance aimed at empowering community members especially the marginalized groups such as; people with disabilities, women, girl child, people living with AIDS to fully participate in governance and policy formulation exercises and also demand accountability of the services (Poverty resource monitoring and tracking)

Krystal, an international studies student at the California state University long beach, has a dream aimed at seeing a society free of diseases, poverty and war.
In pursuance of her dream in the community of Gayaza Kabonera sub county of Masaka municipality in Masaka district of Uganda East Africa, she initiated a project called "GAYA" meaning Gayaza youth ambassadors. The GAYA aimed at full participatory involvement issues and activities to address the prevailing community challenges of diseases, poverty, illiteracy and ignorance as Marjory affecting their livelihoods.
